A rainy outdoor BBQ showdown on “the Canyon’s Beach”  between Australian Celebrity Chef Peter Evans and Talisker Executive Chef John Murcko:  Guests arrived to a whole roast pig in John Murcko’s camp. Across the way, Chef Evans stoked a simple wood fire. Each chef was tasked with five courses for a packed house with plates served directly from the grills. The creations were extremely complimentary to one another… imagine this pairing; Chef Evan’s roast corn-on-the-cob with chipotle-cilantro mayo & grated manchego cheese with Chef Murcko’s butternut squash-apple cider bisque “shooter” We score it a tie for the chefs & a win for the guests! Generous sample portions were available for from 2 items for $10 – all 5 for $20.

Australian Celebrity Chef Peter Evans to join Talisker’s Chef Murcko for BBQ Cookoff! Chef Pete will join Chef Murcko for an entertaining demonstration of Australian inspired BBQ treats at the The Farm – & outdoors on the new Canyons Ski Beach.

In addition to owning and operating a successful chain of restaurants in Sydney under the Hugo Group, Pete Evans is the host of Australia’s number one cooking show, “Fresh”, in addition to appearing on many other food-related television shows and documentaries. Pete is currently filming a new project that has him cooking for the world’s best parties. He is also one of Australia’s most recognized award-winning chefs. He owns 4 restaurants with his brother Dave Evans, has written a number of cook books & has been host to a number of TV shows. His newest show, “My Kitchen Rules”, has just started it’s second season.
